My Story
Nurse Myra Bennett wrote her memoirs in the 1960s and DRC is very pleased that her son, Trevor, has allowed us to publish them at this time. Born in London, England, in 1890, Myra Grimsley came to Daniel's Harbour in 1921 and was known as The Nurse along the 200 miles of coast that were her responsibility. After her 1922 marriage to Angus Bennett she and her hard working husband were known affectionately as The Nurse and Angus. A wonderful read that includes many family photographs.
